Steven Tyler

Steven TylerUnder the direction of Frank Connelly, their first manager, they took a few time on Boston's club circuit. The group then began working with Steve Leber (New York) and David Krebs (New York). In 1972, they signed a record agreement and debuted their first album. It was followed in 1973 by Get Your Wings. Toys in the Attic. Rocks. And Draw the Line. These albums were instrumental in helping Aerosmith become famous internationally. These albums produced legendary hits like "Dream on", "Walk This Way" as well as "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's early five albums have also been multi-platinum and Toys in the Attic and Rocks are widely regarded as one of the most influential hard rock albums of all time. But as the decade progressed the hectic lifestyle of performing, recording, sharing a home, and consuming drugs started to take its toll on the group. Due to their famous use of heroin and stimulants, Tyler and Perry were identified as the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music as well as many video releases of Aerosmith show their relationship. Tyler is, evidently, more dedicated to Aerosmith and the band, was seen to be resentful of Perry's passive attitude and envied Perry's priority for females in his life. The conflict between Tyler, Perry, and their former girlfriends was key to the slow decline of Aerosmith from 1980 onwards.
